The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Namibia is the official diplomatic mission of China in Namibia, located in the capital city of Windhoek. Established in 1990 on the occasion of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Namibia, the Embassy is subordinate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and represents the Chinese Government in handling all diplomatic affairs with Namibia, and serves as an important bridge in the relations between the two countries.
The core functions of the Embassy include promoting bilateral political trust and high-level exchanges, facilitating economic and trade cooperation and investment, as well as strengthening exchanges in the fields of culture and education. At the same time, the Embassy, through the Economic and Commercial Office and other departments, actively supports Chinese enterprises to carry out cooperative projects in the region, participate in infrastructure construction and resource development, and promote the deepening of practical cooperation between the two sides.
In terms of consular services, the Embassy provides Chinese citizens and organizations in China with passport, notary certification, visa and other services, as well as consular protection and assistance in case of emergency. In addition, the Embassy also carries out public diplomacy activities, strengthens China-Norway civil exchanges and mutual understanding, and plays an important role in promoting the friendly relations between the two countries and safeguarding the rights and interests of Chinese citizens abroad.
