Negar Achtari is a graduate of Lausanne University, School of Law in Switzerland. She obtained her masters degree (LL.M) in Corporate law and Finance from Widener University in Delaware, USA. In 2002, she graduated with an LL.B. degree in common law from the University of Ottawa, School of law.
Negar became a member of the New York Bar in 1998 and was called to the Ontario bar in September 2003.
Negar has had the advantage of living in different countries. She is multi-lingual and brings her experience as a litigation lawyer.
Prior to establishing her law office in Ottawa in June 2005, she worked in association with the law firm of Bell, Unger, Riley, Morris, a Canadian immigration law firm.
Negar is the only Farsi speaking immigration lawyer in Ottawa. She travels to Iran regularly and speaks to immigration issues on a regular basis, both on Hamseda radio and Pars TV.
Negar has represented clients before both Canadian and American immigration authorities.
Negar offers legal services in English, Farsi (Persian) and French.
